Building a Future for Vulture Care
Vulpro has long been at the forefront of vulture conservation, rescuing injured birds, rehabilitating them, and returning them to the wild whenever possible. As their work has expanded, so has the need for an on‑site veterinary clinic capable of providing immediate, specialized care. Out of necessity, Vulpro began building their own dedicated in-house veterinary facility, which is a milestone that will transform how quickly and effectively they can treat compromised birds.
Equipment to Save Lives
To support this critical step forward, VCC donated essential veterinary equipment to help outfit the new clinic. These tools will allow Vulpro’s team to perform diagnostics, stabilize injured vultures, and manage long‑term medical cases without relying on off‑site facilities. For a species facing steep population declines across Africa, rapid access to care can mean the difference between life and death.
Commitment to the Future
This project reflects VCC’s commitment to strengthening the organizations that protect vulnerable wildlife. By equipping Vulpro’s new clinic, VCC is helping ensure that every rescued vulture receives the highest standard of medical care, and that the people fighting for their survival have the resources they need to continue their important lifesaving work.
